Seventh Circle

منطقة الدوار السابع

The Seventh Circle is the penultimate circle among the eight circles in Jabal Amman. It belongs to the upscale Zahran area, which starts from the first circle in east Amman and ends at the eighth circle in west Amman. Despite ten years passing since the removal of the Seventh Circle and its conversion into traffic lights, it still retains its old name - the Seventh Circle - and people continue to use this name to this day, even though its official name is Prince Talal bin Muhammad Square.

Location of the Seventh Circle

The Seventh Circle occupies a strategic location at the intersection of three of Amman's main streets. It is part of Zahran Street, which starts from the first circle in the east and passes through all eight circles of Jabal Amman. It is one of the most important streets connecting east and west Amman, and it is an important commercial street that houses many Arab and foreign embassies, in addition to major institutional buildings. The Seventh Circle is bordered to the north by Abdullah Ghosheh Street and to the south by Airport Road, giving the Seventh Circle area great importance and making it one of the liveliest areas.

Overview of the Seventh Circle Area

Royal Jordanian Airlines chose the Seventh Circle area and built a building to serve passengers and facilitate their travel procedures to transfer them directly to the plane. After that, the Seventh Circle area began to flourish and attract various investments, including real estate investments of various types and commercial investments. The Seventh Circle area later became a distinctive residential and commercial area, hosting many local and international institutions and companies, and became populated by residents due to its strategic location and vitality. Today, the Seventh Circle area is surrounded by several upscale areas such as:

- Sweifieh

- Um Uthaina

- Sahel Area

- Rawabi Area

- Prince Rashid Suburb

Seventh Circle Area and Sweifieh

We can say that they are twin areas, as the Seventh Circle is closely linked to the Sweifieh area and shares many landmarks and streets with it. Among the most important streets shared between them are Zahran Street and Airport Road. Because the Seventh Circle area is primarily an investment and commercial area, its boundaries with Sweifieh rejuvenate the residential aspect of Sweifieh. Many people prefer to live in areas near Airport Street and around major intersections to facilitate their movement between different areas of Amman, so they choose to reside in the Sweifieh area to find what they are looking for.

Seventh Circle Area and Um Uthaina

The Seventh Circle is the western counterpart to the sixth circle, which is the starting point for the Um Uthaina area, the upscale area near one of the most vital intersections after the sixth circle intersection. The Seventh Circle is considered, for Um Uthaina, a gateway to the Airport Road and the Medical City Street - King Abdullah II Street.

Seventh Circle Area and Deir Ghbar Area

The connections between the Seventh Circle and the Deir Ghbar area is a peculiar one, as they do not share boundaries with each other on a main street or intersection. However, they both lie on one of the most important main streets in Amman, Airport Street. Thus, Deir Ghbar's location along Airport Street and behind the Seventh Circle area makes it closely linked to it. Sweifieh separates the Seventh Circle from Deir Ghbar, serving as the traffic corridor between the two areas along with the Airport Road.

Seventh Circle Area and Wadi Al Seer Area

The Seventh Circle area and the Eighth Circle area - Wadi Al Seer - are closely linked and share many commonalities. They both start from the main Zahran Street that cuts through the Seventh and Eighth Circles. The Seventh Circle area meets the Wadi Al Seer area along the Medical City Street - King Abdullah II Street - extending from the Seventh Circle to the Eighth Circle, where the Seventh Circle area meets the Eighth Circle area again on Airport Street.
