sJordanian Real Estate Market 2025 - 2026

Amid the ongoing wars and successive crises witnessed around the world — and in the Middle East region in particular — in addition to Jordan’s strategic location among several neighboring countries suffering from political crises and security instability, real estate trading in Jordan continued to grow during 2025, recording a trading volume of 7.18 billion Jordanian Dinars, with an increase of 7%!

This increase is a positive indicator for the future of the real estate sector in Jordan in 2026 and perhaps in the coming years as well, especially since Jordan has expanded its investment base in the real estate sector and has become a haven for foreign investments such as the Marsa Zayed project and the Lucent Residence project, which combines local and foreign financing.

Now let us begin a quick and detailed tour of the size of the Jordanian real estate market for 2025, supported by charts from the Department of Land and Survey.

Real Estate Trading Volume in the Jordanian Market in 2025

From the beginning of January until November 2025, the real estate trading volume in Jordan reached 6,454,904,001 Jordanian Dinars. Compared to the same period in 2024, the increase reached 4%. Some sources state that by the end of the year, the total trading volume increased by 7%.

Property Sales Movement During the First Eleven Months of 2025

The number of properties sold from January until November reached 139,261 properties, an increase compared to 138,414 properties sold during the same period in 2024.

The increase in the number of properties sold is a true indicator that the real estate sector is considered a safe haven for individuals and investors, regardless of the challenges and difficulties faced by countries and communities alike.

Apartment Sales in 2025

Amman topped the list in apartment sales for 2025, with 22,598 apartments sold across various areas of Amman, an increase of 690 apartments compared to 2024, when 21,908 apartments were sold. The number of apartments sold in 2025 in the rest of the Kingdom’s governorates reached 11,135 apartments.

Accordingly, the total number of apartments sold in 2025 reached 33,733 compared to 33,440 apartments in 2024.

The increase in apartment sales is attributed to the government’s decision to stimulate the real estate and housing sector by granting a 50% registration fee exemption for residential apartments exceeding 150 square meters.

Land Sales in 2025

The number of land plots sold in 2025 increased noticeably, reaching 105,528 plots compared to 104,974 plots sold in 2024.

The percentage of land purchases by companies also increased, as companies strongly moved toward purchasing land in the first half of 2025, with an increase of 22%.

On the other hand, land sales were concentrated across various governorates of the Kingdom compared to the capital, Amman.

This is likely due to the lifestyle pattern in Amman, where residents prefer owning apartments in Amman while purchasing land around Amman or in other governorates in search of comfort and tranquility.

Real Estate Ownership Transactions for Non-Jordanians in 2025

Despite the increase in real estate trading volume in Jordan for 2025, along with the rise in ownership transactions for Jordanians, real estate ownership transactions for non-Jordanians in 2025 decreased by 3% compared to 2024. However, the estimated value of non-Jordanian ownership transactions in November 2025 increased by 21% compared to November 2024.

Some sources attribute the decline in foreign ownership transactions to the political conditions witnessed in the Middle East during 2025, which led to several suspensions of air travel and instability in regional security. This hindered non-Jordanian foreigners from traveling to Jordan until security stability gradually returned to the region, but only after a relatively extended period.

Jordanian Real Estate Market Forecast for 2026

Despite all the circumstances and challenges, we observed an increase in real estate trading volume during 2025. According to some specialized sources, trading volume in the Jordanian real estate market is expected to continue growing in 2026, with continued expansion in buying and selling activity.

It is also expected that foreign ownership transactions by non-Jordanians will increase in 2026, given the quality of residential and investment projects that have begun to take shape in Jordan, such as the Lucent Residence Towers in Amman and Marsa Zayed in Aqaba.

Additionally, real estate developers are increasingly focusing on investing in smart luxury residential apartments and incorporating modern living concepts into interior and exterior designs. We also observe a shift in people’s preferences toward owning land and farms in the suburbs of Amman, away from high population density and urban congestion, in search of adequate space, comfort, and tranquility.

Based on figures and information issued by the Department of Land and Survey over consecutive years, the real estate sector in Jordan is characterized by either growth or stability in trading volume even under the most challenging conditions. This makes Jordan a safe haven for real estate development and for attracting foreign investments.
